GREENCYCLE to become a RegioStar 2020!
The final conference of the INTERREG Alpine Space Project GREENCYCLE will take place on the 5th of March 2020 in Maribor/Slovenia in Hotel City Maribor (Ulica kneza Koclja 22, 2000 Maribor).
In a pilot project in Bavaria the winter road clearance service is to become more environmentally friendly by using recycled salt. Instead of specially produced brine, leftover saltwater from the Develey Company is used.
The new Circular Economy Action Plan will accelerate the transition towards a circular economy, reinforcing the EU’s industrial base, while contributing to fighting climate change and preserving its natural environment. The new action plan will look at the lifecycle of products and materials, ensuring sustainable resource use and tackling resource-intensive sectors such as textiles, construction, electronics and plastics. It will feed into the EU Industrial Strategy.
EU recently updated the list of Critical Rare Materials (CRMs), that are now 27.
The city CE Manager will be a role that will remain after the GREENCYCLE project end. He/She is the CE Focal Point in the city administration, connecting also with the local network with businesses, stakeholders and associations
